I have been advised that 123-REG have successfully migrated all the mailboxes associated with your domain name to their new platform.
It is important that you follow the instructions below to ensure your email services opperate correctly
123-REG Webmail
Log into your webmail in the usual way, but select Geneation 2 mailboxes, log in with your email address and usual password.
If you use 123-REG webmail, the domain associated with your mailbox already uses 12-REG nameservers, so you won’t need to update its Domain Name Server records as they will do this for you.
If, however, you’ve added your mailboxes to third-party email clients like Gmail or Outlook, you will need to update the settings for each mailbox to include the following details:
Incoming Mail
• Server: imap.secureserver.net
• Port: 993
• Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Outgoing Mail
• Server: smtpout.secureserver.net
• Port: 465 (25 or 587 for SSL off)
• Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Please note: depending on your email client, you may only need to update the incoming server, however you may also have to update the outgoing mail server for your mailbox.
To change your name server in Outlook for example, follow this process;
1) click on the ‘File’ tab in the menu bar
2) Ensure the correct email account is active i.e. [email protected]
3) Click Account Settings
4) Click on Server Settings
5) Update the Incoming and Outgoing Server details
